我们的天父，愿你的名受显扬，愿你的国来临，愿你的旨意奉行在人间，如同在天上。求你今天赏给我们日用的食粮，求你宽恕我们的罪过，如同我们宽恕别人一样。不要让我们陷于诱惑，但救我们免于凶恶。阿门！

• 留意天主经没有最后的两句“因为国度、权柄、荣耀，全是祢的，直到永远。”（到了教会第一世纪开始，教会礼仪就习惯以那两句来结束）。 一般都会刻意加上这两句，因为按《天主教教理》第2855号，这两句与前三句：“愿祢的名受显扬，愿祢的国来临，愿祢的旨意奉行在人间”重复。因此十六世纪以后，天主教不鼓励在天主经内重复这两句。只有在弥撒中会保留它们。在弥撒念完天主经后，会念《光荣颂》即“天下万国，普世权威，一切荣耀，永归于祢”。
